Celebrating Heather and Women Farmers!

We are overjoyed and incredibly proud to share that Heather Schloe has been recognized by the Oregon Department of Agriculture as part of 2026’s International Year of the Woman Farmer! ODA is celebrating Oregon women whose hard work, leadership, and dedication help power agriculture and their communities. Heather was featured for carrying forward Swan Island Dahlias’ family legacy, her leadership and innovation, and her commitment to the land and our farm's future. 

What an incredible honor during our Centennial year—and a very special recognition for someone who has poured so much heart into Swan Island Dahlias. We couldn’t be more excited for Heather!
