The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) Northwest Region is partnering with Swan Island Dahlias in Canby, Oregon, to host the inaugural "Battle of the Blooms" floral design competition and exclusive educational workshops from September 18 to 20, 2026.

Battle of the Blooms Competition: Friday, September 18, 2026, featuring professional judging by National AIFD President Brent Leech and a People's Choice public vote.
Hands-on Workshops: Taught by leading regional designers, including an elegant fall dahlia bouquet and wearables class by Trish Nishikawa, AIFD, on September 19, and a garden-style wedding design class by Annie Chen, AIFD, on September 20.

Hours: Wednesday–Sunday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM); closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Admission: Free admission and free parking to stroll through the 50-acre blooming dahlia fields during the annual festival season.
