Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Mine rotten after planting, the other items in my order did fine.
Prolific bloomer, nice stock. I would say ok vase life. We had good blooms for three cuttings after that it was taking over by Bumblebees. I was amazed to see the Bumblebees sleeping on the flowers. Our neighbor are organic fruit grower and they couldn't believe this Dahlia would be loaded with bees. We grew two Platinum Blonde Dahlia plants and we counted 46 Bumblebees on them. We will grow Platinum Blonde again.
This dahlia was prolific for me and the blooms are unusual and go well in mixed bouquets. Stems are super long. I did stake this one. Love the buttery yellow center and creamy white outer petals.
I have had this tuber for two seasons, no blooms. I moved it to a sunny location this year, and the plant is only one foot high and it’s already September. It shows no sign of blooming. It will be removed and replaced by something else.
