JITTERBUG

I planted it in the late spring of 2026 in Pennsylvania and it just had it's first bloom on September 1. We've had a rainy summer and I wonder if that affected it's blooming. The one bloom so far is fantastic.

We got about 5 blooms and then she just sort of piddled out. We are in southern california near the beach. is it too hot here for some?

This was the first of my dahlias to bloom and it performed very well all season. Lots of blooms!! One of my favorites!! Highly recommend!!

I do love cute-as-a-button dahlias, but Jitterbug was just not for me! A little too neon and way more purple. I know location and climate has such a huge affect on dahlia coloring, but it’s not a dahlia that earned a spot in my garden - there are too many other dahlias I like way more.

I absolutely love the colors in this dahlia. This was my first experience growing dahlias. I followed all directions to the letter provided with my tubers.
I grew them in pots, and they are amazing! Once they began to bloom, it was non stop. The stems are short for a tall vase, but they are beautiful to display. Salmon, pink, yellow, purple, just lovely!

This is in my top five. Lots of blooms and love the color.

I grew this last year. It was a prolific bloomer, producing many flowers over the 2022 growing season in zone 6B (Midwest). I stored the tubers, but they did not survive the winter storage. Don't let this stop you--I do not have good conditions for storing tubers. It's pretty much a dig them all up and store at home temp free-for all. I'll buy 2 new tubers for spring 2024 because I can't live without these beauties

Like another reviewer, my flowers from Jitterbug were decidedly a cool pink with no hint of the warm, orange undertones I expected of "salmon". However, if you don't have your heart set on the color description, it's a great choice. It was one of the first to bloom for me.

Early bloomer and very prolific. Beautiful color, blooms for me are soft pink with yellow undertone.

For the last 2 years Jitterbug has bloomed weeks before my other dahlias, is prolific, and has both beautiful form and color. Love it! I've been able to divide and spread around my garden, the tubers store well and with its height it's easy to work into flower beds or planters.

As other reviews state, it's a cool little flower and the plant is prolific throughout the summer and generates vigorous tubers that are eager to get growing when spring arrives.

This is a must grow for cut flowers. The petite blooms are so sweet and the plant just keeps producing all season long.

This little cutie had me doing the jitterbug dance once it started blooming! This one bloomed earlier than all my others, and has been consistently covered in blooms, even when I'm cutting to bring into the house! I counted this morning, and I had nearly 20 blooms on the plant... this is a MUST HAVE if you want a strong, sturdy plant that is always covered in GORGEOUS little blossoms <3

This little dahlia - growing first time this year is very prolific with one of my favorite colors peach/ pink/ yellow/ hints of lavender. and looks amazing played against other flowers in a vase and long stems for cutting even though the plant overall is shorter.

One of my first blooms and so, so lovely. This has hints of yellow on a bright pink to slightly salmon color. Not a long stem but perfect as an accent for my office. It brightens my every day. Lovely form with a slender but strong stem.

This little dahlia was a favorite of my 9 year old and I. Such a beautiful color...the pictures don't capture how pretty it is. My only frustration was the stems were short so I was never able to cut. I desperately wanted it in a bouquet! Would be perfect in a patio pot where it can be admired regularly.

Of the two dozen or so dahlias I grew this year, this is probably my favorite. I grew it in a pot and the number of blooms has been extraordinary. I haven't counted, but I would guess this one plant has already produced 35+ blooms as of the end of September. With another month to go, it should pass 50 easily. The color is fantastic. Everyone who sees it comments on it. It lasts well as a cut flower too.

This turned out to be much more pink than salmon in my garden. Still lovely and produced more flowers than any others except maybe Lemon Tart. Nice long stems. I accidentally let it overwinter in place so it was the first one blooming this year.
