How to Grow
Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Bluetiful is a beautiful dahlia. Each tuber produces a nice size plant and blooms all season long. It is one of my earliest varieties to bloom.
I purchased 1 tuber in 2022. The tubers overwinter well and give me enough to plant, and giveaway to friends, in the spring.
I highly recommend this variety.
Beautiful color a little pinker than lilac time. This was a prolific bloomer and the flowers turn white as they age and its looks even prettier.

Almost a dis-service cutting the bloom out of the natural sunlight. However when cut with Swan's Olympic Flame & Honeymoon into a vase, well it is simply Bluetiful with grace!!!!!
I bought Bluetiful because it was listed as a staff favorite. Bloom shape and color are breath taking!

Bluetiful is one of my favorite dahlia varieties to grow. The color is the closest to blue you can get with a dahlia (the shade is more of a deeper violet/periwinkle) and the ruffled blooms are absolutely stunning in bouquets. The plant is more on the compact side, growing to about 3.5 feet tall. It produces lots of blooms all the way up until the first frost. I highly recommend this variety. The tubers always keep well for me too.
Grown in full sun, zone 5 so short growing season. I grow 8-10 varieties each year, several dozen plants. I grew one plant, tried it two years. This is the only dahlia that has not bloomed for me. Not sure what the problem was. I moved on to other varieties.

This is my favorite dahlia. The color and shape are stunning, it lasts a long time as a cut flower, and is a very prolific bloomer. Worth adding to anyone's collection. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful ruffly dark lavender flowers of good size. Sturdy plant.
