A most unusual flower that just doesn't know what it wants to be. The 3" blooms are an unusual blending of mauve purple, turning golden orange on the center petals on a 4' plant. Center petals are slightly lacinated, and as the blooms mature, they become fuzzy in appearance, much like the anemone style blooms.

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). I will probably over winter this year and give another try. The blooms for me were smaller, 2 inches. Not many on the plant. Not sure why it was great place to grow and others were growing great. Swan Island is my favorite place to order from. Maybe this one was a bit off.

Wannabee is a fun little flower
I adore Wannabee. The color is joyous and my bushes were prolific. I succeeded in overwintering the tubers for one winter, but was not able to replenish my supply when none made it through to a third season. Now I have found the little darling again and I am excited to fill vases all over my house and my Mom's with this playful little blossom.
