How to Grow

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Two Thumbs Up

First year growing in 2025 and it was a stunner. Prolific bloomer. Pure red large blooms on strong plants that don't get overly tall. Definitely growing again next year. Highly recommend this one especially for the price.

Stunningly Beautiful

The picture does not do this beauty justice. This is a stunningly beautiful blood red dahlia. It almost looks like velvet. It takes on a very nice form, and sticks out like a sore thumb. I highly recommend this one. (Growing in Zone 5/6 in south central Michigan.)

What a spectacular dahlia!

This is absolutely my favorite red dahlia. It continued to produce numerous large, deep red dahlias on strong stems all summer long. Each successive bloom was a breath-taking triumph! Thank you for such perfection!

Dark Red

The size and shape of this dahlia are completely beautiful. I was hoping for a lipstick fire engine red but mine is a very dark red. Very beautiful but I wish the color were a more vibrant red.

Like finding the perfect shade of red lipstick

This is the perfect shade of red. It’s prolific, reliable... every bloom just as perfect as the last. My daughter picked it out of the show garden last year and it is perfection❤️

Connecticut was glowing

Fabulous, fabulous. I had a couple hundred blooms on the single bush. Monarchs clashed with the red but it was still an incredible combination. Beautiful formed flower. It is in my top five

Such a rich red!

I planted this dahlia late and I’m not great soil (long story) but it’s blooming beautifully now and looks very healthy. In the sunlight the petals have a somewhat iridescent gleam that reminds me of the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz. I love it and will do better replanting it next year. ❤️
