Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

I am glad I chose Fluffles as one of my first online purchases. She rewarded me with a healthy plant and early blooms. I love the lighter color in the center of the flower.
Amazing plant! It grew to well over 5' in my garden this last year, and was a prolific bloomer for 3+ months. It is also a stellar tuber producer- I got 40 tubers from my one tuber planted in May. A must grow!

In 5b/6a and dahlias here often don’t get busy until late august and September. It’s a nice lavender/white that pairs well with other colors and looks GREAT when offset with greenery. Good stem length too.
Excellent performer. It's a very vigorous plant and produces both a ton of blooms and tubers.
