How to Grow
Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Such a robust plant. It’s perfect in every way — long-lasting flowers on the plant and in the vase, ling, strong stems, and a beautiful, romantic flower form and coloring. The best performing of my two dozen dahlias.
This one's a beaut! Long and tall stems, tons of blooms, beautiful color and long lasting.
This is probably the best of all I have purchased from Swan Island for cut flowers. It has beautiful blooms, and very tall long STRONG sturdy stems if using as cut flowers. I wish all dahlias had such long strong stems!
Who Me? Produced extremely well! Just like the picture, perfect!
Specs are spot on and a great enhancer bloom as well by it's self
This is one of my favorite and healthiest dahlias I am growing this year. It is going crazy with buds and has stunning colors and unusual petals which curl back. This has been added to my must grow list. It was a free tuber and glad I chose this one!!
I got this as a freebie in my SID order and it has become the favorite in ny garden. I grow lots and lots of dahlias and this one provides the longest vase life of all of them by far. It just lasts forever in the vase. The blooms are strong on beautiful long stems. The flower sits at a lovely 45 degree angle making it the perfect cut flower. The shape and color are just stunning. Prolific bloomer and just so hardy. A real winner!
They open up white with a lavender blush and slowly fade to almost white. Big, showy flowers on incredibly long and strong stems. Quite a looker.
Planted this spring as a single tuber and grew beautifully and produced over 20 blooms (I do pinch my dahlias to encourage more blooms). On biggest flowers, pink fades beautifully to a pale pink on outer petals and flower mostly white. On smaller flowers, pink stays very bright. Lasted well as a cut flower and makes a pretty bouquet with the different tones. Planted about 10 new varieties this year and this one was by far my favorite.
Planted them at the right time and the right depth...never grew. The other dahlias came up just fine planted next to them
This is a new dahlia for me this past year and the name is unusual and the flower is delightful. It has very strong stems ideal for cutting. It is really outstanding.
