Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. Stunning formation
Wow these are gorgeous and withstood the awful drought we had here in NY this summer… one of the first to bloom. These make every bouquet just zing. A must for any dahlia grower!

This is the second year for this dahlia. It's one of my favorites. Nice long stems with lovely ball flowers on top. It looks fabulous in bouquets of larger FDs or IFDs.

Very pretty blooms
1st time Dahlia grower. Live in Central IL. Grew like crazy and I was able to get a ton of blooms off of this. Grew to over 7' in height. Tuber was in great shape in the fall. The shape of these pedals are my favorite. The yellow color was soft and made for a really nice pallet in cut flowers. Got a ton of blooms.
