How to Grow
Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

I will be growing this dahlia for forever. It's the most vibrant, full flower I've seen in a while. I ordered 3 tubers for my wedding flowers and really only had active blooming from one of the tubers. The others produced maybe one bloom all season. Zone 4b
Her color is stunning! The pictures don't show her true beauty; when the sun hits - WOW! She was the first to bloom this year and has been prolific.
First year with this beauty. She was the first to bloom and has been prolific. The color is striking, the picture doesn’t capture its vibrancy.
My first bloomer and far ahead of my dahlias; she is stunning! The color is gorgeous and when the sun hits; she glows! I haven't cut yet, but stems are appear strong. You won't regret Chloe Janae.
This dahlia is a true beauty in every way and adds a bold dash of color to our garden! The blooms are a perfect size, and the color is a deep, rich fuchsia. Ideal for arrangements.
Still waiting in mid September for buds. Not too happy with this tuber. It could be that it is in too much shade. I think I will move it and see if that helps.
The plant is super sturdy. Stunning blooms. It was a mid season bloomer. I potted up the tuber early so I could get blooms earlier. I have a very short growing season. I love this flower. Stunning color and very good plant all around.
I have been looking for this color in dahlias for a long time, but found it in this one. The color is much more stunning, beautiful, and breathtaking than pictures can convey!
I have ordered more than four dozen different dahlias from Swan Island for my Pacific Northwest garden (I just counted and it was more than I thought!). I love many of them, but if I had to pick a favorite, Chloe Janae would be it. Very vigorous, healthy, and productive bush with stunning flowers - gorgeous color and form. The flowers are held on very strong stems and nearly every one is perfect for a vase. It starts blooming early, the flowers last a long time, and the bloom color complements other colors in bouquets. This dahlia makes me say wow every time I look at it!
I have grown Chloe Janae for years. She is planted in the same spot behind the short garden wall, overlooking the sidewalk so all can admire her. She is glowing with fuchsia; loaded with strong stalks; consistent performer. I have tried others but there is none like Chloe Janae. She makes a beautiful bouquet with Bashful, Diva, a sunset color dahlia and it's fun to add Verbena Bonariensis, and a Cosmos Picotee. But she is great on her own in an antique cut crystal purple vase.
The pictures don’t do this one justice. The centers glow and the richness of the color is just amazing. Nice size blooms. I can’t wait to see it again this year!
Perfect mid-size blooms for an arrangement, and a gorgeous color. This was a standout in my many arrangements this summer, and will be a staple in my cutting flower garden.
