How to Grow

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Amazing Color

I received this the first year and it struggled in our Az heat but they all did. It grew back year two and has put off consistent blooms that are beautiful in color. One of my favorites. Oranges and pinks and purples…and as it has gotten above 110 her in Az, the orange softened to a light coral. So pretty!

Nice and Bright

Love this dahlia!! Subtle tones of purple and yellow on a bright scarlet flower! The form reminds me of a waterlily. A real stand out!

Nope

A few hidden blooms, then nothing on a big bushy plant. Surrounding dahlias were fine. One for the compost pile.

Subtle colors

Like other reviewers, I too marvel at the color -- nuanced colors, really -- contained in this jewel. It's the range of subtle color shifts: lavender, yellow, pinkish red, that makes this so visually captivating. Not quite red, not quite orange, is it one of the centerpieces of my garden.

Great color, small plant, short stems

Not big or prolific and the stems were quite short, if strong. Great color, but value not there

Stunning color and a prolific bloomer

I couldn't be happier with this lovely dahlia. Gorgeous color, long stems, prolific blooms, and held well as a cut flower in a vase.

Stunning!

I would like to start this review by saying that this summer has been very hot and I know that a lot of growers are having difficulty this year. I am zone 8b. So keep that in mind regarding this review.

Stunning! Words can't describe the beauty of this flower. Good cut flower with moderate blooming. First cut flower in Mid July. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely gorgeous.

No picture can capture how beautiful this dahlia is. It is nothing short of spectacular. I have it growing with all shades of purple and the contrast is indescribable. If you love stunning, bright orange that literally glows then this is the dahlia for you. You will not be disappointed.

A true hot orange

The picture doesn't do it justice. Each petal glows with a deep orange, and the purple accent in the middle pairs well with purple and mauve dahlias. At the Seattle Flower and Garden Show Swan Island booth I asked them to recommend the best orange - and this was it! Was not disappointed. Grown in hot full sun, my stems were long, great for cutting.
