Our Guarantee to You

We sell top-quality 1st grade A single division tubers (price is per single tuber), fully guaranteed to grow and be true to name. Each tuber will have at least one viable eye but may be dormant when shipped. However, this tuber has been inspected at four stations before shipment, and the eye may take 7-14 days to warm up and become more visible. The guarantee covers the current season’s orders. We are not responsible for customer negligence, tubers planted vertically, crowns above soil level, tubers used for cuttings, weather conditions, rodent damage, winter storage, or the performance of plants in subsequent seasons. Growing instructions provided with your order and online at dahlias.com must be followed to be eligible and covered under our guarantee. Dahlias should emerge through the soil within 3-5 weeks; if they do not, please dig them up and send a photo of the tuber through the Contact Us form at dahlias.com so we can assist you further. If you are unable to take a picture, please contact us immediately by phone after digging up the tuber for further instructions. Failed tubers must be reported no later than August 1st of the same growing season. All other concerns regarding your growing dahlias must be reported by October 1st of the same growing season. Please DO NOT DIG UP OR DISPOSE OF ANY PLANTS until you have contacted us. We reserve the right to request the return of any failed dahlia(s) or photos of them before replacements are made. If a tuber has failed, a replacement of the same variety will be sent immediately during the same growing season or the following spring (depending on your location and time of year) at no charge. U.S. orders only—NO CASH REFUNDS. The guarantor is not liable for more than the purchase price of the failed tuber(s) and does not include shipping and handling.

All our tubers are grown on our farm in Canby, Oregon, and are cared for with love. We do not resell tubers from other companies or import Dahlia tubers to resell, ensuring you receive exactly what you have ordered when purchasing from us. Our farm and dahlias are inspected by the State of Oregon Agriculture Department throughout the year, allowing us to ship across the United States and Canada. As the American Dahlia Society recommends, we have procedures in place when handling and processing all our tubers to ensure that tools are sterilized between each clump.

Packaging

Each dahlia tuber that leaves our farm has been hand-stamped with its name directly on it. Tubers will arrive packed together in the same bag; please ensure you open your bag(s) and inspect your dahlia tubers upon arrival. If you order singles of many different varieties, they will come bagged together. However, please note that each tuber has the name stamped on it, and a plant tag with the variety information has been provided for you to use at planting time. Please dust off the packing medium to see the variety name. You may need to lightly rinse off the packing medium to see the ink on the tuber, or use a toothbrush or dry paintbrush to dust off the tubers gently. Please DO NOT soak the tubers in water. If you have any concerns about your order, please contact us within ten days of receiving it. If you do not open your box immediately and it sits for over 30 days without being opened and inspected, we are not liable for the contents, as they may rot or shrivel. In such circumstances, replacements will not be made, as the contents are perishable.

Ordering

We begin accepting orders each year on August 1st and continue through May 31st. Orders are received online at dahlias.com, by mail at PO BOX 700, Canby, OR 97013, or by calling 800.410.6540 (U.S. only) or 503.266.7711 (Pacific Time). We do not accept orders or payments via email, the contact us form, purchase order (PO), text, social media messaging, or voicemail. Orders and payments are processed by the date received. Payment must accompany all orders. We accept Checks and Money Orders via (mail only), and Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express via phone or online. Payment is processed upon receipt, and this reserves your order as of that date. Please order early, as our dahlias are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please mark your preference for a refund or substitute in the case a variety becomes unavailable. As the tubers are perishable and Mother Nature is unpredictable, we want to ensure that we fill your order according to your preference. If you place an order by mail or over the phone and do not specify a choice, you will be given a beautiful substitution provided a similar variety is available. Otherwise, a refund will be issued. The fee for non-sufficient funds/bad checks is $25.00 for any checks returned to us by the bank.

Return Policy

We stand behind everything we sell and want our customers to be happy and satisfied. If, for any reason, you would like to return the tuber(s) you have received, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order for return instructions. All returns must be received and processed within 30 days of the return authorization for a refund to be issued. A 25% restocking fee will apply (shipping and handling fees/Phytosanitary certificates are non-refundable). Any order(s) or tuber(s) returned without authorization or after the 30-day return authorization window has passed will not be accepted, and the refund will not be processed.

All supplies and mercantile items are FINAL SALE, and returns will not be accepted. If an item is damaged or incorrect in size, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order.

If an order is shipped to an address provided by the buyer and is returned by the U.S. Postal Service as invalid or undeliverable, the order can be re-shipped. Shipping and handling fees will be collected prior to reshipment, or the order may be returned to stock, and 25% restocking fee will apply (shipping and handling fees/Phytosanitary certificates are non-refundable).

Refund Policy

In most cases, your refund will automatically go back to the original form of payment used for the purchase. If you used multiple forms of payment, your refund may go back to all payment methods used, or a check may be issued and mailed.  When there is a partial refund issued on an order that has a split tender (gift certificate and another payment method), a check will be issued and mailed to you for the refund amount up to the gift certificate amount. Gift certificates are non-refundable and will be reissued. We are unable to refund original credit card payments past 90 days from the original date of purchase and may have to issue a check for any necessary refund.

Refunds processed to your credit card may take 7-10 days to be processed by your credit card issuer. Please contact your credit card company if you have questions regarding the processing of your refund once you have received confirmation from us that the refund was processed and initiated.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelled orders are subject to a processing fee of $15.00 or 15% of your order, whichever is greater. Please remember all revisions (which includes cancellations) must be done before February 15th. If your order has already moved onto processing/shipping it is unable to be cancelled.

Orders Revisions and Additions Policy

Once an order has been placed, it may NOT be amended online for any reason (including an address update or item change). If you need to make ANY changes to an order, you must call our office directly and speak to customer service at 800.410.6540 for assistance. Each order placed will be invoiced and shipped separately and CANNOT be combined. All revisions or changes (including cancellations) must be done before February 15th. Orders placed after February 15th may not be available for revisions or cancellation due to processing and shipping. Revisions and modifications are limited to two modifications per order each season.
