Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Average-size flowers, but a lot of them all year.
The hue of this flower is similar to the pink in Gabbie’s Wish. It took a while to get going in my garden but kept blooming well into November. A real treasure.
The blooms on this pink water lily are pink pastel perfection. She is a vigorous grower at 5 feet tall with many laterals and blooms profusely. I will always have Gerry Hoek in my garden here in zone 6…she likes it here
This was an impulse buy last winter and I absolutely love it! The most beautiful flowers and last well as a cut flower.
Stunning! Prolific, healthy. My all time favorite, and im not even a pink fan. Wow. Wow. Wow!
