Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

An absolutely beautiful bloom. So beautiful, I actually added a second to my next order without even realizing it. Took a while to bloom, but it has a very strong stem and looks to be producing lots of blooms for its first year with me. Don't hesitate. BUY IT!
So many large, very impressive flowers that make a stunning flower arrangement! One of this years favorites for sure!
Brilliant steam quality on these massive semi cactus blooms. An absolute prolific producer that brings character and wonderful composition to any floral arrangement but is magnificent enough as a standalone. No complaints. This is a wonderful flower.!
Stands out in my cottage flower bed.
This dahlia is amazing in every way possible. It's colorful with a totally unique shape. This is the compliment getter you need for your bouquets. The blooms are endless and grow big on sturdy long stems. This is an absolute favorite!
