Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

La Luna was a gift with my purchase. I thought well oh well OK let’s see what this thing does. It was one of my favorite flowers in the garden! It bloomed prolifically for me even though it was huge… And tons of tubers… It made me very happy!

A Stunner!
I really like this soft yellow. It was beautiful and fresh in the bouquets. It was a prolific bloomer with nice tubers… I got this as a free gift and I was so happy how beautiful it was. I do like the dinner plates for an effect in my bouquets. Another one I’m very pleased with is MY HERO. Wow! But That one too if you like a very tall plant. Mine grew to 8 feet!
