How to Grow

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

Prolific cut flower

I think I got 500 blooms out of this single tuber! I sell cut flowers from my Solvang, CA garden and this one performed above and beyond with a season of deep cutting!

Maarn is super productive

I love the way this dahlia goes into arrangements with its tight form and long stems. The plant produces many blooms and doesn’t seem to slow down in the heat or cooler weather fall brings.

Maarn gets to work early. Blooms started in July and just kept coming. Hundreds of perfect orange flowers on a healthy plant. Absolutely wonderful dahl!

Definitely a favorite!

This one was a freebie and I wasn't so sure about it but I am in love!! It's so pretty, she sits between Einstein and Mikayla Miranda in my garden. It produced so many long stemmed blooms and lasts a long time in a vase

Very Prolific

This dahlia created an absurd amount of blooms. I had about 75 to 100 blooms on there at one time. The description of only 3.5 foot is definitely wrong as this was about 5.5-6 foot. I will definitely keep these tubers.

Blown centers

Blown centers in all blooms, and it was a cooler season than usual. Will not order again.

Consistent Beauty - Grown in Long Island, NY

I just LOVE this variety. Honestly, there's nothing super special about it at first glance. It's a solid orange. For some reason though, it really just stands out, makes buckets of blooms, and has nice, long sturdy stems. Maarn will always have a place in my garden.

Great early variety

This is a nice soft pumpkin orange, one of the best early varieties I've grown. Very prolific. Manageable plant size. Performed well with a vase full of flowers by June when grown in full all day sun.

Amazing - long stem and highly productive

I bought 10+ different varieties last year and Maarn was the most productive. Yielding about 7-10 blooms every week. Consistent size and color. The long stem made it a great cutting flower!

Wonderful!

I've grown this variety for several years now. It gets about six feet tall, its sturdy stalks topped with numerous blossoms of a delicate orange color that begin appearing in late July. It has few problems; I rarely have to spray for anything. This is one of my favorite dahlias!

The blooms are not pretty

All the blooms had popped center. I am not sure whether it is true “Maarn” or not. Not pretty and I will not save the tuber or buy again.
