Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

The flowers are a beautiful mauve-pink. This is the one dahlia that has produced a lot of flowers in my garden.
I missed the deadline for reporting but I was super disappointed that this tuber didn’t sprout at all for me. I wasn’t surprised to see this variety is in rebuild. I still want to try it. And I have purchased many tubers from SI with great results. And I will continue to buy tubers from SI as they are robust, hearty, well labeled, well packed, well stored and 90% reliable. But the fact that this very expensive tuber didn’t sprout makes me leery of trying the new $$$ varieties—as much as I am tempted!
This was the first dahlia to bloom this season alongside My Forever. There are many gorgeous blooms on the plant at any given time. Beautiful color and shape. Healthy plant. Hope the tubers survive storage over the winter.
I grew this variety Spring/Summer 2020. It was very late to bloom and did not thrive well. I did enjoy the blooms they were a beautiful unique color. It did not produce many tubers I will have to see if I can grow again in 2021.
