Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

I LOVE my TT. This is my first year growing Totally Tangerine and it is the most productive plant in my garden. The flowers have long stems and are prolific. Some of them bloom with fewer, broader petals but most have 2 layers of reflexed petals. I love them all and they pair just beautifully with my hot pink cosmos and my light orange Jowey Linda. Highly recommend!
Looking forward to see how these do in year 2, because i had better luck and prolific blooms last year with pot tubers from another seller. That said, excellent and healthy Im sure they'll be a real knock out next year. A must have variety, and wonderful in containers.
In the first year this bloomed respectably but in the second year it really took off. The bees adored it and I cut many, many flowers, but it bloomed so prodigiously you couldn't really tell. A standout.
