Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

A memorable bloom!
I grew this in 2021 and florists loved it! Unfortunately I didn't have any for 2022 but remember well how beloved it was. I see it's back in stock and will be ordering again for 2023. The picture doesn't do it justice.

I'm loving this dahlia! Looks exactly like the first photo. My plant is about 4ft tall and always has blooms to cut that last several days in a vase. A winner!

Sturdy and stunning
The first few flowers are on short stems; I'm hoping some will be taller. But they are stunners; the yellow tips really make the bright, rich orange flowers pop. Holding up well in the vase, too. A winner!
