How to Grow

Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

WORTHY

This is spectacular at the very least. Either as a lone display or part of a very large grouping. Mine has produced good tuber amounts also.

A Beauty!

It is exceptional! The stems are thick, strong, long, and blooms gorgeous. It is already 6-1/2' and still growing.

My Hero is truly my hero!

My Hero has produced stunning blooms this year. The stems are very sturdy to support this large beautiful bloom. I use it In bouquets and our community loves it.

MY FAVORITE

Stunning large blooms on a substantial and long stem. As a cut flower it lasts the longest of any dahlia I have.

Talk of the Town

These blooms are large and long lasting. They are also full, the bloom is not one sided - it stretches all the way around the stem. Such a beautiful addition that never fails to perform.

Great arrangement flower, strong stems, long-lasting flowers.

This plant just kept producing huge flowers and stems. Be sure to "top" it, you have to wait a little longer for flowers but it's worth it! The nine days of smoke and no sun only slowed it down a little.
