How to Grow
Dahlias are grown from tubers (similar to a bulb, but thin-skinned like a potato). Plant tubers in the springtime, about the same time as you would your vegetable gardens or when the ground is warm enough to work up and play in daily. Plant them in a full sun location (giving them 6-8 hours of direct sunlight) and enjoy blooms all summer long. They will bloom and provide you with color and abundant flowers for cutting and enjoying throughout the summer.
The more you cut a dahlia plant, the more it will bloom. Most cut dahlias will last up to 5 days once cut and treated.

I don't have a lot of space so I can't keep every dahlia. It has to earn a spot in my garden. Gitts Attention has earned a spot! It produces consistently, rather early, and has a long vase life. I will definitely plant this one again!
Relatively early bloomer, consistent bloomer, prolific bloomer, long vase life, large blooms, sturdy stems, beautiful! One of my favorites! Earned a lasting place in my garden!
This one is just gorgeous. It's one of my favorite "whites" for bouquets and floral arrangements as it has a really unique look. Very romantic.
This is a favorite to me. I got one tuber last year, this year I have six plants, out of which 4 have already given me a lot of flowers! The other two have been planted later in the season, but they are the first to produce buds out of those that they were planted at the same time. Long vase life.
Average production of flowers for this size of flower. Love the frilliness. Great to combine with Chilson's Pride in a bridal bouquet. Good stems. This is a dahlia we grow every year for wedding work.
